ERA Test (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis)

For many women going through IVF, one major challenge is knowing exactly when the uterus is ready to accept an embryo. Even when the embryos are healthy, implantation can fail if the timing isn’t right. The ERA Test (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis)  helps find the exact time your uterus is ready, so your embryo transfer can be planned correctly.

Under the care of Dr Manmeet Batra — Gynaecologist, Obstetrician, and Infertility & IVF Specialist — ERA test in IVF cycles is recommended only when it genuinely supports your fertility plan and increases the chance of a successful embryo transfer.

Your ERA Test Procedure

IVF success depends on transferring the embryo at the moment your uterus is most receptive. The ERA Test identifies this personal implantation window, allowing for a more accurately timed embryo transfer.

 Mock Cycle Preparation
Your uterine lining is prepared just like it would be for a real embryo transfer, using the same medicines and timing.

Monitoring the Lining
Ultrasound scans check whether the lining has developed well and is ready for the test.

 Sample Collection
At the exact time your embryo transfer would normally happen, a small sample of the lining is gently taken (similar to a light endometrial biopsy).

Genetic Analysis
The sample is sent to a specialised lab to analyse genes that control implantation timing.

 Receptivity Result
The report shows whether your lining is:

  • Pre-receptive (needs more time)
  • Receptive (right time)
  • Post-receptive (window has passed)

 Personalised Transfer Plan
Based on your result, Dr Manmeet Batra adjusts the timing of your actual embryo transfer so it matches your unique implantation window. This approach is especially helpful for women with repeated IVF failures.
