Your IVF Journey, Step by Step
Every fertility journey is unique, but the path is easier to walk when you know what's ahead. Here's how Dr. Manmeet Batra guides you from first consultation to a confirmed pregnancy.
01Day 1 – 2Initial Consultation & Fertility Assessment
We begin with a detailed discussion of your medical history, followed by hormonal blood work and ultrasound scans to understand your fertility profile and identify the right path forward.
One-on-one with Dr. Batra
02Day 2 – 12Ovarian Stimulation
Daily hormonal injections stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs. You'll be monitored closely through scans and blood tests to track follicle growth.
Regular monitoring included
03Day 13 – 14Egg Retrieval
Once follicles reach the right size, eggs are retrieved in a short, minimally invasive procedure under sedation — usually complete within 20 to 30 minutes.
Under 30 minutes
04Day 14 – 19Fertilization & Embryo Culture
Retrieved eggs are fertilized with sperm in our lab using IVF or ICSI. The resulting embryos are cultured and monitored for healthy development over several days.
Advanced embryology lab
05Day 19 – 20Embryo Transfer
A healthy embryo is carefully placed into the uterus in a simple, painless procedure. Any remaining viable embryos can be frozen for future use.
Painless, no anesthesia
06Day 33 – 34Pregnancy Test & Follow-up Care
About two weeks after transfer, a blood test confirms pregnancy. Our team continues to support you with monitoring and guidance through your first trimester.

Embryo Freezing: A fertilised egg (embryo) is frozen and stored for future use. It is ideal for married couples, IVF patients, and couples who want to avoid repeated egg retrievals. It also allows the storage of extra embryos from an IVF cycle.
No. IVF is generally not very painful. Most women experience only mild discomfort during certain stages of treatment. Egg retrieval is performed under sedation or anaesthesia, so it is usually painless, and embryo transfer is a quick procedure with little or no discomfort. Overall, IVF is considered more emotionally challenging than physically painful.
-
IVF: Egg and sperm are placed together and the sperm fertilises the egg on its own.
-
ICSI: A single sperm is injected directly into the egg to help fertilisation.
